Plan Your Stay
Everything you need to know before you go — arrival, amenities, and what to expect from island life at Dream Catcher.
Do I need a boat to reach the house?
North Captiva is boat-access only - no bridges and no cars on the island. Guests usually arrive one of two ways: the North Captiva Island Club ferry from the mainland dock at 5576 Doug Taylor Circle (239-283-1001, northcaptiva.com), or the Island Girl Charters daily water taxi out of Bokeelia (239-633-8142, islandgirlcharters.com). Both run on a schedule and need a reservation - book at least 24 hours ahead. Once your dates are set we send exact arrival details, and you are met at the dock.
How many guests can the home sleep?
Dream Catcher sleeps 16 across five bedrooms and nine beds: two king rooms, one room with two full beds, one queen room, and a fifth room with two queens and two twins. Four bedrooms have their own en-suite bath. Two air mattresses are also available in the living room if a group needs them.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 9:00 am. Ferry and water-taxi schedules matter more than the clock here, so tell us your arrival plan when you book and we will line the two up. If your boat gets in early we will do what we can to have the house ready.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made at least 60 days before arrival are refunded at 80 percent. Inside 60 days the booking is non-refundable, so travel insurance is worth a look for storm season. Every reservation is handled directly by the owners - if plans change, talk to us early and we will do what we can.
Is the home pet-friendly?
Dogs are considered on request. Ask when you send your inquiry and the owners will confirm it for your dates along with any pet fee. Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
What's included at the house?
Two golf carts come with the house (licensed drivers only), along with a private heated pool, a hot tub, a gourmet kitchen with an ice maker and coffee maker, a grill, beach gear, ping-pong under the house, free WiFi at 500+ Mbps, cable TV, central air, a washer, and all linens and towels. Guests also get North Captiva Island Club membership for the stay, including the club's large heated pool, Mangos Pool Bar & Grill and the Island Market.
